Band Goals/Standards

1. To perform on instrument(s), alone and with others, a varied repertoire of music.
2. To improvise melodies, variations, and accompaniments.
3. To compose and arrange music within specified guidelines.
4. To read and notate music.
5. To listen to, analyze, and describe music.
6. To evaluate music and music performances.
7. To understand relationships between music, the other arts, and disciplines outside the arts.
8. To understand music in relation to history and culture.

The band curriculum at North Augusta Middle School is aligned with the National Standards and the South Carolina Music Frameworks.
