NA Band Booster Club

All parents are encouraged to take an active part in the NA Band Booster Club. The NA Band Booster Club is comprised of band parents from North Augusta Middle School, Paul Knox Middle School, and North Augusta High School. Working together, we have become a much stronger organization. Band parents, friends, and other band supporters make up the membership. There is no membership fee. Meetings will be announced in advance on our web-site, and/or notices will be sent home prior to each meeting.

Jerry and Nicole Channell have agreed to be our NAMS Representatives. She will need volunteers to participate on each of the committees listed below, and will serve as our representative on the executive board of the NA Band Booster Club. The band booster club is the sole financial supporter of the NA Bands as we receive no operating money from the county, although there is a possibility of matching funds. If we raise $1,000, the county will match the $1,000.

Please get involved, we can't exist without you!

We will need volunteers for the following committees:

Fruit Committee - This is our big money maker. We will need help with collecting money and verifying orders, computer input, unloading trucks, running the NAMS fruit desk at the sale, and clean-up. This should be our biggest committee.

Telephone/Publicity Committee - This is needed to communicate and/or inform band parents and the public of all band activities, awards, and special events. Some help will also be needed in preparing our newsletter NAMS NOTABLE NEWS.

Chaperone Committee - Chaperones are needed from all grade levels. The county requires one chaperone per 8 students on each field trip. (I like to take more to make it a safer and happier trip for everyone at this age level.)

Bands Across the Savannah – Middle School parents and students are needed to help out with this big event. The NA Band Boosters is sponsoring a marching contest at our high school. Look for more information to be sent home concerning what is needed and look at our web-site as we update information concerning the contest.
